Robotic rehabilitation of wrist and hand function

Lead investigator: Dr. Naveen Elangovan

Our group has been involved in the development of a robotic exoskeleton to objectively  assess and train proprioceptive and motor function of the hand/wrist. This device is developed in collaboration with colleagues at the Italian Institute of Technology and Nanyang Technological University of Singapore.

We currently perform two clinical studies with stroke patients and patients with Parkinson’s disease to establish the efficacy of our robotic rehabilitation approach to improve somatosensory and motor function of the wrist.
