Note: If you are off campus you will need a VPN connection to the University to access your WordPress site for editing.
University email accounts are Google accounts and you still use your UMN credentials to access your site. The login screen may look different depending on how you have been using your browser. Here are the four scenarios:
Logged into your UMN account already
This is the most seamless. If you are logged into your UMN account already with your browser, U Gmail for example, you will go directly to the WordPress dashboard. In some instances you may see the Google login screen for just a second before the browser takes you to the dashboard.
Not logged into your UMN account
If you are not logged into your UMN account, a Google screen will appear. Enter your UMN email, click next, and it will pass you to the UMN login screen.
Logged in with a different UMN account
If you are logged into a UMN account that does not have access to the dashboard of your WordPress site, a department account for example, the Google screen will give you the option to switch accounts for login.
Logged into a non-UMN account
If you are logged into a non-UMN Google service with your browser, a personal Gmail account for example, and you try to access the dashboard of your CEHD WordPress site with the same browser, you will receive this error message.
Authorization Error
Error 403: org_internal
This client is restricted to users within its organization.
If this happens, simply switch over to the browser you use for your UMN work and try it again.
