The UIC Honors College (HC) enhances opportunities for intellectual challenge and leadership by fostering a community of academic excellence, connecting outstanding undergraduate students with premier faculty mentors, and promoting scholarly engagement.  By bringing together a diverse group of exceptional undergraduate students, faculty, and staff, the Honors College provides an environment for advanced intellectual growth and a foundation for life-long learning.

Honors College students are strongly encouraged to give back to their community through a variety of means.

Services categories are divided in (1) Tutoring/teaching/mentoring, (2) Civic Engagement and Service-Learning, (3) Pre-Professional Volunteering, and (4) Student Organizations or Student Publications.
